An insurance agent by day, an author by night,
Chris Zimmerman began his writing career while
attending Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste.
Marie. His first outdoor story appeared in The
Sault Evening News in 1986. Since then, he started his
own insurance agency in Mt. Pleasant, then Shepherd,
which he still operates during normal business hours.
He has hundreds and hundreds of clients from as far away
as Ishpeming in the Upper Peninsula to many, many more
in the urban areas of southern Michigan.
On the writing front, Chris' work has been featured in
many magazines and newspapers, most recently The Lansing
State Journal and The Grand Rapids Press. When
he's not selling his novels at events across the state
or writing his fifth book which will be a continuation of
Forty Mile Point. Chris enjoys bird hunting near his home in
Mt. Pleasant with his English setter, Joker.
